Reliable machine technology and innovative processes from KraussMaffei for the Chinese market
Polyurethane systems and injection molding machines for lightweight components and excellent surfaces - Open House in the production plant of the KraussMaffei Group in Haiyan

(Munich, February 17, 2012) Reliable machine technology in the CX and MX series and requirements-oriented process solutions for the production of high-quality surfaces and plastic lightweight solutions are also finding an increasingly positive resonance with Chinese processors. KraussMaffei has an impressive display at the Chinaplas trade fair in Shanghai (April 18 to 21, 2012) at the KraussMaffei Group booth (Hall E1, Booth J31) with solutions in injection molding and reaction process machinery for plastic processors. Furthermore, customers and visitors have the opportunity on April 19 and 20, 2012 to tour the production plant of the KraussMaffei Group in Haiyan and view an injection molding machine from the MX series.

Injection molding machines for daily and extraordinary tasks

"Our special solutions in injection molding machinery and high efficiency with innovative strength were the main factors in the last few years that allowed us to successfully establish ourselves on the Chinese market“, explains Dr. Karlheinz Bourdon, Managing Director of Injection Molding Machinery at KraussMaffei. "KraussMaffei stands for top machine quality, technical and user-oriented innovation and reliable service“. Multiple component machines and large machine with compression molding functions for the production of complex components are used, in particular, in the automotive and electronics industry. With its MX swivel plate and compression molding machine for multicolor television screen frames and windshields, KraussMaffei has positioned itself on the Chinese market just as successfully as with the CX Multinject for multicolor and multiple component applications in the low and medium clamping force ranges. Combined processes from injection molding and reaction process technology, among others, SkinForm or ColorForm processes, make full use of the material-specific properties and produce components with excellent surfaces in a single work step. Haptic requirements are also met, as well as high-gloss lacquer surfaces.

Reaction process machinery – from classic foaming systems to innovative lightweight solutions

There is wide acceptance and great demand for KraussMaffei brand machines, systems and tooling systems for polyurethane foam applications - from design and prototyping through to serial tools and complete foaming systems, for example for seat cushions, insulation applications or lightweight components. The focus is also on large-format, contoured parts as well the production of high-strength CFK composites for structural components using the HP-RTM method (high pressure resin transfer molding) with all work steps over the entire process chain. This begins with the assembly of the fibers and production of the dry fiber preforms. They are then guided into a mold specially designed and manufactured by KraussMaffei. "Of particular interest in this regard is the design of the mold carrier of type MX600 with components from injection molding technology“, explains Frank Peters, Managing Director of Reaction Process Machinery at KraussMaffei. "Its modular concept makes use of proven components and the advantage of injection molding machine series production to create user-specific solutions“.

Open House in the Haiyan production plant during Chinaplas

During the Chinaplas trade fair, KraussMaffei Group opens the doors of its production plant in Haiyan. "In the course of this Open House event on April 19 and 20, customers and visitors have the opportunity to convince themselves of the efficiency and competence of KraussMaffei Group with its powerful brand names KraussMaffei, KraussMaffei Berstorff and Netstal", explains Harald Schweizer, Manager of the subsidiary of KraussMaffei Group in China. KraussMaffei customers have the opportunity to get a picture of the production of components, machines and systems in the areas of reaction process machinery (PU processing). KraussMaffei will also be presenting a MX 850 injection molding machine from the local production of the MX series.
