The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) today announced that Van Cleef & Arpels, the French jewellery Maison, has achieved certification meeting the ethical, human rights, social and environmental standards as established by the RJC’s Member Certification System. “RJC is delighted to congratulate Van Cleef & Arpels on its certification. The successful verification assessment of Van Cleef & Arpels was conducted by Camille Querleu from SGS, one of the independent third-party auditing firms accredited to the RJC’s Member Certification System,” says Michael Rae, RJC’s Chief Executive Officer.

“Trust is the foundation of our craft and this certification leverages this trust,” says Stanislas de Quercize, CEO and President of Van Cleef & Arpels. Van Cleef & Arpels has 89 boutiques around the world and three Maisons: Paris, New-York and the recently opened Prince’s Building in Hong Kong. “We are conscious of the exceptional roots and creativity of Van Cleef & Arpels. To be true to our values and true to our clients, this is our aim,” says Stanislas de Quercize.
