St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous) Kolkata expands its Overseas Students & Faculty Exchange. College Alumni to launch its UK & USA Chapters.

St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous) Kolkata, (SXCCAA) is having International Exchange Programme with foreign Universittes for last 5 years. In this programme staff and students of SXC go to the designated foreign universities to study for a specific period and vice versa.

This year, two groups of students are leaving for one month to St. John’s and St. Benedict’s University at Minnesota, USA and Manitoba University, Canada. The first group will have 9 students and one Professor and the second group will consist of 5 students.

In reciprocation, their students will come to attend to study one semester in January 2012. The mutual acceptance of academic credits has also been worked out.

Rev. Fr. Dr. J. Felix Raj, SJ, Principal, St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous) Kolkata, will be visiting University of Namur, Belgium to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for having Exchange Programme. He will also visit Minnesota and Manitoba to explore further possibilities of expansion of the existing Exchange Programme.

St. Xavier’s College (Calcutta) Alumni Association (SXCCAA) is going to launch its London Chapter on 22 October 2011, where alumnus Mr. L. N. Mittal has also been invited. It will also inaugurate its USA Chapter on 8 July 2012. At present SXCCAA has three outstation chapters in India apart from its overseas chapters at Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai. The Association will have its 3rd International Convention Beyond Boundaries-III at Singapore in 2012.
