Free SMS facility for iPhones launched

Free SMS provider 160by2.com has launched an application which enables free SMS from all iPhones. The Hyderabad-based company had developed this application in partnership with the US-based AhaApps.com. “Many 160by2.com-registered users outside India and using iPhone have wanted us to develop this application to leverage the free SMS facility and stay connected with their family back in India without having to pay expensive international rates,'' Mr Satya Yerramsetti, CEO, 160by2.com, said in a release. 160by2.com users can download the application from iTunes store and the application enables any iPhone located in the US, the UK, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to send SMS for free to any mobile in India. iPhone users in India can also use this application to send SMS for free to any other mobile within India, he said.
