Motorola Wins Wal-Mart China “Best Solution of the Year 2008/2009” Award

 

 

November  18 2009, SingaporeMotorola (China) Electronics Ltd. announced today that it has won the ‘Best Solution of the Year 2008/2009’ award at the Wal-Mart China IT Vendor Technology Summit 2009.  

 

Wal-Mart China, the Chinese operation of the world’s largest retail chain group, recognized Motorola’s persistent efforts in developing innovative enterprise mobility solutions to fulfill customer’s needs. The award also acknowledged Motorola’s efforts in bringing advanced international retail solutions to China and localizing and making them compatible with the local user environment. ‘Best Solution of the Year 2008/2009’ is one of the biggest Awards for IT vendors at the summit.

 

Motorola has always retained a strong and close partnership with Wal-Mart China. Since Wal-Mart's entry into China, Motorola has been providing its supermarket with barcode scanners, mobile computers and wireless network products that are broadly applied in point-of-sale areas, distribution centers, inventory control, logistics management and shop operation. The deployment of Motorola’s enterprise mobility solutions enabled Wal-Mart to increase staff efficiency and reduce operation costs.

Motorola also received the “Best Service Provider of the Year Award” by Wal-Mart China in 2008.
